Ecophos Industrial Services, the engineering and project services arm of the Ecophos group in Belgium, needed a faster way to update permit drawings and create an as-built permit dossier for a new Aliphos plant in Dunkirk, France. Working with Hexagon PPM, the company sought software that could automatically generate new permit layouts whenever the 3D model changed, while meeting a tight one-month delivery schedule.

Hexagon PPM provided CADWorx Plant Professional, CAESAR II, and OrthoGen to support 3D piping, structural and equipment design, stress analysis, and automated orthographic drawing generation. By standardizing layouts and generating deliverables such as BOMs, isometrics, and permit drawings directly from the model, Ecophos Industrial Services cut permit-layout creation time by about 40% and reduced rework, while also establishing reusable company standards for future projects.
