The Badger Company Improves Brownfield Project Execution With Cadworx®

The Badger Company, a multidisciplinary engineering firm operating in the Netherlands and Romania, needed a way to accurately plan a brownfield plant upgrade for a customer in Gouda despite having only outdated documentation and no reliable plot plan. Hexagon PPM’s CADWorx Plant Professional was used to help address the challenge of determining whether new equipment and a reactor would fit on the existing site.

Hexagon PPM implemented a 3D laser scanning and modeling workflow using CADWorx Plant Professional alongside Leica scanning tools to create an accurate point cloud and 3D model of the facility. The result was a faster, easier project with immediate time savings from eliminating manual measurements, improved efficiency in 3D modeling, and no additional training required for engineers.
