Tata Chemicals Achieves Great Project Results With Cadworx

Tata Chemicals Ltd., part of Tata Group in India, needed to build a new 900-tons-per-day vacuum evaporated salt plant on an aggressive 21-month schedule. To support this complex greenfield project, the company used Hexagon PPM’s CADWorx Plant and CADWorx Design Review for 3D modeling and design review.

With Hexagon PPM, Tata Chemicals quickly trained staff and modeled the full facility in 3D, including structures, equipment, piping, and utilities, allowing stakeholders to spot clashes and avoid costly rework. The company completed modeling and all drawings in just four months with five draftsmen, produced more than 520 piping isometrics, and kept procurement and commissioning on schedule.
