STI Engineering, an Italian design and consulting firm for civil construction and industrial plant projects, won an international tender to design a waste-to-energy plant in the Azores. Facing a complex multidisciplinary project with tight time and cost constraints, the company needed an easy-to-use, quickly deployable solution to improve productivity, support piping design, and generate accurate engineering deliverables. The project’s full plant model was completed in just four months, and STI Engineering reported about 30% engineering man-hour savings and roughly 60% lower software costs versus similar previous projects.
