Profertil Upgrades to Smartplant® Enterprise For Owner Operators (Spo) to Improve Document And Information Access for Plant Workers

Profertil, an Argentine fertilizer producer with a large plant in Bahía Blanca, needed to improve access to engineering documents and plant information as its operations expanded. Working with Hexagon PPM, the company moved from SmartPlant Foundation to SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO) and continued using Intergraph Smart P&ID, Smart Instrumentation, and Smart Electrical to better manage its as-built documentation.

Hexagon PPM implemented a rapid migration and integration project that loaded more than 15,000 documents, over 10,000 document-to-tag relationships, and more than 42,900 tags into SPO. The result was a single trusted point of access with stronger security, full-text search, multiple search paths, and accurate cross-disciplinary data integrity, while also laying the groundwork for future SAP integration and improved change management.
