Ppv Engineering Supports Customer Success In the Food Industry With the Help of Cadworx® Solutions

PPV Engineering, a consulting and design office in the Netherlands serving the food, oil & gas, and chemical industries, needed to help a customer fit new product storage tanks into an existing butter-making facility. The main challenge was limited space and strict food hygiene requirements, which made it difficult to determine how the new tanks could be installed without disrupting operations. PPV Engineering used Hexagon PPM’s CADWorx Plant Professional, along with CADWorx P&ID Professional and CAESAR II, to plan the project.

Hexagon PPM helped PPV Engineering create a basic engineering design for five new tanks and the necessary facility modifications, including raising the roof of the building by five meters to create enough space. Using CADWorx Plant Professional and its P&ID integration, the team could model the installation, support bidding and budgeting, and speed up modifications to the design. The result was a faster, more efficient project execution with automated design creation from 3D models and a practical solution for expanding the plant within hygiene constraints.
