Numikon Improves Brownfield Safety with CADWorx® Plant Professional And CAESAR II

Numikon, a Croatia-based engineering company serving the chemicals, oil & gas, power generation, and marine sectors, needed a faster and more reliable way to create as-built documentation for INA’s Sisak refinery. The refinery’s existing records were incomplete and uncertain, and Numikon had to survey extensive piping while the plant remained operational, with difficult access and a tight deadline. Hexagon PPM’s CADWorx Plant Professional and CAESAR II were used to support the project.

Hexagon PPM helped Numikon use laser surveying to capture accurate plant data and build 3D models, isometrics, equipment details, and pipe stress analysis deliverables. The work was completed in 49 days and enabled safer, more efficient operations plus easier maintenance and future plant modifications. Numikon reported productivity gains of up to 640% and noted that the Hexagon PPM solution reduced on-site time while improving safety by avoiding work at height and near hazardous equipment.
