Empresarios Agrupados, a leading Spanish energy engineering firm, needed better integration, data quality, and efficiency across complex power generation projects. To address this, the company used Hexagon PPM’s SmartPlant Enterprise suite, including Intergraph Smart 3D, Smart P&ID, Smart Instrumentation, Smart Electrical, SmartPlant Foundation, PDS, and CAESAR II.

Hexagon PPM implemented customized automation and integration across engineering disciplines, including automated support design, schematic generation, document publishing, and model rule checking. The result was improved engineering quality, fewer construction and assembly issues, better data reuse, and significant time savings in repetitive tasks such as pipe support design, helping Empresarios Agrupados deliver 20 power plants more efficiently and with added value for customers.
