LA Metro, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, needed a better way to manage the massive Measure R transportation program after voters approved $40 billion for long-term traffic relief and infrastructure upgrades. Its existing project control systems were outdated, siloed, and too manual to support multiple major projects running at once, so it turned to Hexagon PPM and its EcoSys™ enterprise project performance software.
Hexagon PPM implemented EcoSys as a web-based central hub for cost management, reporting, and analysis, integrating budget, schedule, resource, and commitment data with Oracle Primavera P6. The solution gave LA Metro real-time visibility, standardized reporting, reduced manual data entry, improved data quality, and created a “single version of the truth,” helping the agency better deliver on Measure R timelines and extend the platform to other capital programs.
