InfraServ Gendorf Technik (ISGT), a subsidiary of chemical park operator InfraServ Gendorf in Germany, needed to improve piping fabrication and streamline plant construction projects from prefabrication through assembly. The company wanted to reduce administrative effort, eliminate manual data re-entry, and cut errors in its piping isometrics and project documentation. Hexagon PPM’s Intergraph Smart 3D tools were selected to support this digital transformation.

Hexagon PPM implemented a piping fabrication solution using Intergraph Smart 3D Reference Data, Intergraph Smart Isometrics, Spoolgen, PIcODA, and INCOP-R to create a digital data flow from planning to production and assembly. The result was faster, more accurate project execution, with ISGT reporting 20%-30% time savings in work preparation and scheduling, 10%-20% in documentation, and up to 30%-40% in project evaluation. Implementation was completed quickly, with engineering departments ready for production in about six weeks and users trained in one week.
