Engineering services provider implements CADWorx® tools for a gas plant design project

Nortech Solutions Group Ltd., a UK-based engineering services provider serving oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, iron & steel, and energy customers, needed to design a new Jersey Gas plant under a tight schedule using limited existing plant data. The project had to improve supply security, replace an underperforming gas holder, and deliver clash-free, fabrication-ready design outputs. Hexagon PPM products used included CADWorx Plant Professional, CAESAR II, and Isogen.

Hexagon PPM provided the tools Nortech needed to handle 3D plant design, piping specifications, structural and mechanical modeling, pipe stress analysis, and automated isometric and BOM production. Using CADWorx Plant Professional with Navisworks and CAESAR II, Nortech managed more than 40 separate 3D files, improved collaboration, reduced design effort, and produced high-quality isometrics and fully dimensional 2D fabrication drawings. As a result, Nortech lowered project costs, enhanced 3D laser scan data processing, and has since adopted Hexagon PPM tools across most of its projects.
