Empresas Y&V Achieves Fast Completion and Design Precision with CADWorx and CAESAR II

Empresas Y&V, a Colombian general contractor serving the petrochemical and construction sectors, needed to deliver detailed engineering for six water treatment plants on a fast-track oilfield project while maintaining high design precision. The company faced the challenge of completing piping and equipment design, drawings, and deliverables quickly across a complex facility with many pieces of equipment and piping sizes.

Using Hexagon PPM’s CADWorx Plant Professional and CAESAR II, Empresas Y&V created 3D models, orthographic and isometric drawings, and bills of material while directly extracting piping data into CAESAR II for flexibility analysis. Hexagon PPM’s tools helped shorten delivery times, speed up flexibility analysis, and identify clashes in the 3D model, with Y&V reporting that the results exceeded expectations and enabled accurate, efficient execution under tight deadlines.
