Dutch maintenance and service provider executes a pipe design project for a power plan

NEWES, a Dutch maintenance and service provider for boilers, furnaces, and ovens, needed to design piping for a new power plant with three boilers. The project involved a DN500 steam line, safety lines, and a DN350 feed water line, all while meeting PED requirements and Dutch pressure vessel regulations and handling strict allowable force and moment limits.

Hexagon PPM provided CADWorx Plant Professional, CAESAR II, and Visual Vessel Design to help NEWES complete stress and pressure vessel calculations accurately across multiple international codes. With the software’s ease of use, NEWES was able to start the project quickly after only a few weeks of training, shorten project time, and verify nozzle loads and design compliance with confidence.
