Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, a leading Korean EPC contractor in the power industry, needed a better way to manage the millions of details involved in construction project planning, especially materials and work packages. The company wanted more accurate, current information from sources such as 3D models to improve construction status tracking, scheduling, and decision-making, and it used Hexagon PPM’s Intergraph Smart® Construction to support that effort.

Hexagon PPM implemented Intergraph Smart® Construction and integrated it with Doosan’s Intergraph Smart 3D environment and in-house CMMS, enabling the team to extract materials lists from multiple modeling sources, generate precise construction quantities, and monitor progress in real time. The result was improved project visibility, stronger materials management, better work package planning, and more accurate and consistent quantity management, helping Doosan make faster, more confident decisions and support smoother construction execution.
