Infinite Lambda, a data and cloud consultancy, worked with Hex to support a project for the World Health Organization (WHO). The challenge was to quickly deliver an interactive emissions report while maintaining full transparency in the data preparation and transformation process, so the WHO could review and trust every step of the analysis.
Hex enabled Infinite Lambda to build the report in a notebook-style interface using SQL and Python, then layer an interactive app on top for non-technical users. With Hex notebooks running on a DAG for reproducible execution and easy sharing via link or embed, the WHO can now explore granular emissions data, compare best and worst practices, and make clearer recommendations to reduce unnecessary emissions.
