Rushcliffe Borough Council approached HeX Productions to upgrade their outdated intranet, which was built on the TerminalFour (T4) content management system. Their primary challenge was that the existing intranet lacked a search engine, making it difficult for staff to find documents, and they desired a fresh design and new functionality to improve internal communications.

HeX Productions designed a new, accessible intranet with a tile-based metro navigation and developed bespoke features, including a direct feed for leisure timetables and a news slider. They implemented a Google custom search engine and ensured the site was responsive and met WCAG 2.0 standards. The solution provided the council's non-technical team with easily customizable elements and full editor training. The new intranet successfully supported the council's move to a more agile way of working, making resources accessible to staff from any device and location.
