A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
United Airlines, a major global airline headquartered in Chicago, faced lengthy, error-prone network hardware rollouts that involved multiple handoffs, inventory tagging, pre-configuration, shipping and onsite installs—driving up resource and shipping costs and increasing network faults. To address this, United partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and deployed HP Software tools including HP Network Node Manager i, HP Network Automation, HP Operations Manager and HP Asset Manager.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented an integrated, zero-touch deployment solution that centralized and automated configuration, compliance monitoring and alerting. The result: time from hardware ordering to deployment fell by nearly 50%, travel and shipping costs were reduced through remote installation and fewer shipments, resource time and template variance decreased, and network faults and policy noncompliance were better controlled.
