A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Trustmark, a benefits and insurance company serving more than two million covered individuals, needed to modernize testing for two strategic initiatives: a multi-year rollout of a new policy administration system (PAS) with iterative code drops and enhancements to its HealthFitness online portal. Testing had been heavily manual and performed by business teams, so Trustmark engaged Hewlett Packard Enterprise and adopted HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT) to establish an enterprise Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) and a modular, repeatable automation framework.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented HP ALM for requirements, defect and test-activity management and HP UFT for reusable automated regression scripts executed in a virtual test lab, with Hexaware providing onsite and offshore test resources. The solution produced a disciplined, governed TCoE, delivered clear, consistent quality metrics (including Defects Per Unit), enabled reuse of test components to cut manual testing of the HealthFitness portal, and reduced overall testing time and effort while improving enterprise application quality.
