Statens Innkrevingssentral Increases Server and Storage Performance 10X

Statens Innkrevingssentral, part of the Norwegian Tax Administration that centrally collects fines and payments for 35 government agencies, needed to reduce datacenter costs and improve the performance, scalability and availability of its mission‑critical collections infrastructure. To address this, Statens Innkrevingssentral selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise and deployed HPE Integrity Superdome X Servers, HPE 3PAR StoreServ storage (7440c and V400) and HPE Proactive Care services, alongside Red Hat Enterprise Linux and virtualization, to replace aging Superdome 2 and XP/P9500 systems.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s solution — Superdome X x86 servers plus 3PAR flash arrays and Proactive Care — delivered measurable results: a tenfold improvement in system performance, over 30% data deduplication on the 3PAR StoreServ 7440c (120 TB flash), streamlined online collections (about 90% processed online) for 35 agencies, and support for daily processing that can total up to 20 million NOK. Statens Innkrevingssentral reports the migration achieved roughly 10× performance at about one‑third the cost of extending legacy systems while ensuring high availability and simplified operations.
