A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Sprint, a communications services company serving nearly 56 million connections as of Dec. 31, 2014, needed to migrate from an out-of-service issue and defect tracking application without disrupting enterprise development, testing, and production. Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented HP Application Lifecycle Management (HP ALM) — specifically the Ticket module — to replace the legacy system and support Sprint’s enterprise QA and release processes.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s HP ALM Ticket delivered a centralized, standardized QA platform with robust reporting, integration with Quality Center, and integrated email collaboration to speed testing and improve release visibility. The deployment produced measurable results: over $900K in cost avoidance by retiring legacy infrastructure, a reduction in QA staff required from three to two, faster time-to-market and more accurate releases, improved vendor access and security controls, and better end-user experience and operational productivity.
