SpeechTrans, the world’s most advanced universal translator, faced poor app engagement and ratings—its app averaged 3.5 stars and 54% of users abandoned the app before completing registration. To cost‑efficiently turn performance and usage data into continuous product improvements, SpeechTrans partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and deployed HP AppPulse Mobile.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented HP AppPulse Mobile in 15 minutes to provide tagless, real‑time dashboards of user actions and app performance, enabling faster fixes and prioritized feature work. As a result SpeechTrans cut registration time from 43s to 12.3s (triggering a tenfold increase in downloads), boosted store ratings from 3.5 to 5 stars, raised FunDex from 77 to 99, increased Android conversions from 0.09% to 0.68%, achieved 50% retention, reduced development time dramatically, prepared the app for preload on 40 million devices, and raised $1.1M via crowdfunding while shifting to a subscription model.
