Simac Transforms Business to Offer Cloud Services

Simac, a Dutch IT services provider, needed to add cloud services, lower costs and reorganize its business to meet customers’ demand for pay‑as‑you‑go offerings. To do this it partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, using the HP CloudAgile program along with HP CloudStart, Flexible Capacity Services and HP CloudSystem technologies to develop a cloud reference architecture and phased implementation plan.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise designed and built a converged, pay‑as‑you‑grow cloud platform (ProLiant server blades, HP 3PAR storage, HP CloudSystem and Cloud Service Automation), provided training and Flexible Capacity financing, and enabled automated multi‑tenant billing with Cloud Cruiser. The result: about 30% reduction in headcount and OPEX, 99.99% availability, faster time‑to‑revenue, reduced financial risk through pay‑as‑you‑use financing, and joint go‑to‑market support with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
