A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Qlik, a global software and services company with more than 2,000 employees, faced growing enterprise risk and productivity setbacks as users worked across multiple devices, relied on USB drives, and used consumer cloud sync services that left IT with no visibility or control. To address these gaps, Qlik turned to Hewlett Packard Enterprise and its HPE Connected MX solution (building on prior use of HPE Connected Backup) for enterprise-grade cloud backup, file synchronization, and secure file sharing.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented HPE Connected MX to deliver automated, continuous backups, WAN‑optimized restore, and policy-driven sync/share with 256-bit encryption and auditing. The results: self-service restores cut help-desk tickets from a few per week to zero, backup times in low‑bandwidth locations fell about 80% (from ~5 hours to ~15 minutes), and device recovery that once took 2–3 days can now be completed overnight—while giving IT granular control and compliance reporting to reduce data‑sharing risk.
