Opresa Boosts System Availability and Performance at Sarajevo Data Centre

Opresa dd, one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s largest importers and distributors, faced an aging, heterogeneous server and storage environment in its Sarajevo data centre that could no longer support rapid growth in electronic merchandising, a planned POS rollout and a 50% rise in ERP output. The company needed a reliable, scalable, high‑performance platform to ensure 24/7 availability for mobile top‑up processing and avoid the multi‑hour outages it had been experiencing. Opresa selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise and its blade and storage offerings to meet these requirements.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented an HP BladeSystem c7000 with 10 ProLiant BL460c server blades, HP Insight Control management and a three‑node HP LeftHand P4500 G2 SAN (14.4 TB) to provide a scale‑out, redundant architecture. The solution removed storage capacity bottlenecks, delivered up to 10 GB/s performance, simplified management, and supported rapid scaling and disaster‑recovery plans—eliminating the frequent multi‑hour outages, protecting round‑the‑clock revenue streams for telecom clients and reducing data‑centre power and cooling costs.
