A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Okaz Organization for Press and Publication, a leading media and publishing group in Saudi Arabia, needed a resilient IT strategy to protect its newspapers, digital channels and a planned 50‑year digital archive from natural and technological disasters. To ensure continuous operations and rapid recovery, the company selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise to design and build a dedicated disaster recovery centre near its Jeddah headquarters.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise delivered a comprehensive DR solution—including HPE 3PAR StoreServ and MSA P2000 storage, 12 HPE BL460 Gen9 servers, HPE OneView management, VMware-based virtualization (24 VMs) and HPE Proactive Care support—with automatic failover and data replication. The implementation (completed in six months) lets staff reach and resume work from the recovery centre in under one hour, preserves the organisation’s 50‑year archive and maintains uninterrupted publishing and distribution.
