Northumbria Police fights crime with HPE

Northumbria Police, one of the largest forces in England serving 1.5 million people, needed to refresh its data‑center infrastructure to support and modernize its mission‑critical Integrated Command and Control System (NPICCS), enable mobile access for officers, and handle growing transaction volumes. To meet these requirements they worked with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, standardizing on HPE Integrity NonStop servers (HPE Integrity NonStop NS1208 Server).

Hewlett Packard Enterprise deployed two HPE Integrity NonStop NS1208 Servers (primary and active‑standby DR site with live replication) plus HPE Services support, delivering 3.5× the previous performance, sub‑second response across 1.5 million user transactions per day, 7 TB of integrated storage, continuous availability, and a 30% reduction in support costs while requiring less than one FTE to manage — enabling faster, more efficient incident handling and secure data exchange.
