Nippon Paint set out to modernize its ERP, CRM and data-warehousing to enable deeper customer choice, faster order delivery and a predictive sales model. To achieve this, Nippon Paint partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and deployed HPE ProLiant DL580 (and DL980) servers as the foundation for a new SAP HANA environment.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s HPE ProLiant servers running SAP HANA delivered a tenfold increase in processing speed—dramatically shrinking reporting and monthly close times from days to hours—and enabled real-time analytics, predictive manufacturing and the iColor mobile app. The implementation improved market responsiveness and fulfillment (30% of customers receive products same afternoon, 60% within two days, 98% within three days), while providing greater scalability, availability and support through HPE services.
