A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Nava Solutions, a software security and cloud‑migration firm, needed to streamline development and testing while reusing existing hardware and maintaining AWS compatibility. The company was struggling with fragile build servers, poor hardware utilization for tests, and the need for an on‑premises environment that behaved like AWS. Nava Solutions adopted Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s HPE Helion Eucalyptus to create a secure private/hybrid cloud with deep AWS API compatibility.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented HPE Helion Eucalyptus on KVM hypervisors and integrated the company’s existing DevOps toolset (Chef, Jenkins, Vagrant, Puppet, etc.) to automate builds and tests. The deployment boosted developer productivity and asset utilization, enabled cleaner, automated daily build servers, and produced significant cost savings — operations now run with two administrators spending no more than 20 hours each per month while supporting automated build/test cycles and high uptime.
