A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Media Info Groep, a leading Dutch media monitoring and evaluation company, was struggling to interrogate and analyze a rapidly growing archive of roughly 60 million articles (adding 40,000–50,000 documents daily) across print, web, radio and TV. The existing software couldn’t cope with those volumes, forced near-constant manual monitoring and meant customer alerts could take days—so the company turned to Hewlett Packard Enterprise and its analytics technologies, including HP IDOL and HP SoftSound.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented HP IDOL as a single analytics platform with HP SoftSound for speech-to-text and automated monitoring, scaled to a 100 million‑document license and multiple servers. The deployment lets Media Info Groep search ten years of history in about five seconds, translate 20 channels simultaneously, handle 40–50k new documents per day, and reduce alert delivery from several days to roughly three hours—cutting staff hours, enabling sentiment and tone analysis, and improving customer service and competitive advantage.
