A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Mary Kay faced a major mobility challenge in China: its dispersed network of beauty consultants—many without professional IT skills and using their own devices—couldn’t access the company’s e‑commerce systems while in the field, slowing sales and relying on desktop and fax workflows. Mary Kay engaged Hewlett Packard Enterprise Technology Services to research and develop a Mary Kay Mobile Platform (built on HPE’s EOS enterprise mobile application platform and mobile device management capabilities) to deliver an easy‑to‑use, device‑agnostic solution.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented the Mary Kay Mobile Platform with standardized interfaces, offline support for low‑connectivity areas, and links to back‑end systems so consultants could view product/pricing information, access sales metrics and place orders immediately. The HPE solution streamlined ordering and mentoring workflows, improved productivity and efficiency, and helped increase business volume, sales success and conversion rates across Mary Kay’s China operations.
