Mansfield Oil transforms its business with HPE

Mansfield Oil Company, a rapidly growing fuel supplier serving thousands of commercial customers, was hampered by frequent outages and limited scalability from its legacy IBM servers. To modernize and regain agility, Mansfield standardized on Hewlett Packard Enterprise solutions—deploying HPE ProLiant BL460c Server Blades in HPE BladeSystem c7000 enclosures, managed with HPE OneView and supported by HPE Proactive Care and HPE Technology Consulting.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s blade and management stack, plus tight integration with VMware, enabled 98% virtualization, a move to private cloud, and the rollout of more than a dozen major IT initiatives in a year. The HPE solution cut IT run-and-maintain time from 90% to 50%, delivered a tenfold increase in business productivity, improved employee mobility and stability, and—with HPE StoreOnce backup—was projected to save about $100,000 per year by reducing tier‑1 storage and associated power/cooling costs.
