LINKBYNET, a France‑based hosting and facilities management provider serving hundreds of European customers, needed to guarantee data availability, meet strict SLAs, respond rapidly to incidents and offer new competitive services while keeping costs predictable. To meet those objectives LINKBYNET selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s HP Data Protector software as its backup and recovery platform.

Using Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s HP Data Protector, LINKBYNET deployed a mix of dedicated and shared platforms to protect roughly 2,600 servers (about 50% on dedicated platforms and 50% on shared), plus over 1,200 virtual machines, with daily nightly backups and full weekend backups of up to 30 TB (total backup volume ≈200 TB). The solution—operated by a small specialist team—gave sales and project teams real‑time quota and capacity visibility, reduced operating costs, improved service quality, helped avoid SLA penalties, increased market share for backup services and strengthened customer loyalty.
