A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Lake Health, a not‑for‑profit healthcare provider in Northeast Ohio, faced growing IT security and uptime challenges after self‑replicating applications and other anomalies disrupted operations and revealed that staff could not aggregate event data across disparate dashboards. To move from a reactive to proactive posture, Lake Health selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s HPE ArcSight solution (including ArcSight Express and Logger, with HPE ArcSight professional services) to give clinicians and IT a secure, reliable infrastructure that supports high‑quality patient care.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented HPE ArcSight to aggregate multiple event sources into a single dashboard, enabling Lake Health to process several thousand events per second and go from investigating about 30 anomalies a year to roughly 300 (a tenfold increase). The quick three‑day proof‑of‑concept and near “plug‑and‑play” deployment let a small team manage the system, streamline PCI and HIPAA compliance, improve real‑time situational awareness and response, and free resources for clinical use—directly reducing risks to patient safety and improving the patient experience.
