Kumho Petrochemical Reduces Costs and Improves System Stability

Kumho Petrochemical, the Seoul‑based global leader in synthetic rubber, faced worsening SAP ERP performance and rising data‑center costs as data volumes grew. To address slow dialog response times and stability issues, the company chose Hewlett Packard Enterprise, deploying HPE Integrity Superdome servers and an HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7450 all‑flash array as part of a new SAP platform upgrade.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented 20 HPE Superdome servers, the HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7450 AFA and HPE Technology Services consulting, cutting migration effort (from about 200 to 100 hours) and shortening the rollout from three months to two. The HPE solution improved ERP response times by 60 percent (notably in the CO module), lowered data‑center operating and maintenance costs, and restored month‑end accounting completion within three days—boosting system stability and staff productivity.
