JA-YE Finds the Ideal Platform for Its Global Challenge

JA Europe, organizer of the Social Innovation Relay (SIR) educational challenge, needed a reliable, easy-to-learn communication platform to connect students, mentors and judges across borders and low‑bandwidth regions. Hewlett Packard Enterprise answered that need with HPE MyRoom, replacing a patchwork of tools to provide a single solution for real‑time webcam, audio and desktop sharing during the competition.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented HPE MyRoom with group licenses (25 users per group, two licenses for up to 100 users at finals), enabling cross‑border e‑mentoring, webinars and live presentations even in rural areas. The result was more frequent, cost‑effective mentoring and improved learning outcomes—SIR involved 43,000 students from 19 countries in the latest year, mentors could work across time zones (for example an Indian winning team mentored from Singapore), and JA Europe was able to scale the global final reliably using HPE MyRoom.
