A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
IT Gården is a Swedish Infrastructure‑as‑a‑Service (ITaaS) provider operating eight “green” data centers that offers pay‑per‑use hosted IT to a mix of small and large customers. To support rapid growth, manage diverse customer needs, and minimize administration and maintenance overhead, IT Gården partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, leveraging HPE FlexFabric architecture along with HPE switches and management software.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented a converged HPE solution—HPE FlexFabric 5820/5800/5900 switches, HPE ProLiant servers, HPE StoreVirtual storage, HPE Intelligent Management Center, IRF virtualization, plus HPE Technology and Education Services—to link and orchestrate all sites. The result: maintenance windows shrank from days to hours with no scheduled outages, customer on‑boarding dropped from days to hours, the platform scales without downtime (even allowing an entire data center to be dropped transparently), and IT Gården achieved major cost and time savings while maintaining a highly energy‑efficient operation (cooling needs of ~4 kW versus ~200 kW typical).
