A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
iService Global, a leading Chinese cloud platform provider operating more than 30 data centers across nine provinces, faced the challenge of unifying management of rapidly deployed, distributed cloud platforms while reducing operational complexity and costs. To meet government, business and consumer IT requirements it partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, adopting HPE Helion OpenStack (backed by HPE CloudSystem Enterprise 8.1 and HPE infrastructure) to broker and manage both traditional and cloud-native workloads on a single platform.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented HPE Helion OpenStack with HPE CloudSystem Enterprise, HPE 3PAR StoreServ storage and ProLiant servers plus HPE’s services to automate infrastructure, unify remote management and simplify O&M. The deployment cut private cloud rollout time from roughly half a day to under one hour, reduced total cost of ownership to 40% of the original planned investment, saved about 5 million Yuan (~US$800,000) per year, and supported around 200 end customers while improving competitiveness and customer loyalty.
