HPE Vertica powers real-time data analytics at Empirix

Empirix, a provider of end-to-end testing, monitoring and analytics for contact centers and telecommunications, faced the challenge of extracting real-time insights from massive subscriber datasets to improve mobile and telecom service quality, reduce churn, and detect bandwidth‑hungry over‑the‑top apps. To meet this need Empirix entered an OEM partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and adopted the HPE Vertica platform to power its Empirix IntelliSight analytics offering.

Using HPE Vertica (HPE Vertica Analytics Platform 6.1.2), Hewlett Packard Enterprise enabled Empirix to simultaneously load and query billions of rows, delivering query responses in roughly five to seven seconds and supporting real‑time, predictive analytics. The solution gave Empirix visibility into subscriber behavior and OTT app impact, allowed intelligent ranking of network issues, supported faster targeting of revenue-generating offers, expanded mobile analytics capabilities, and materially improved service quality, churn reduction and customer ROI.
