HPE Partnership Proves Key to Building New IT Infrastructure in Only Eight Months

Del Monte Foods faced a crisis after a divestiture left the company without its IT infrastructure and back‑office accounting organization, with less than a year to rebuild operations. To survive and reinvent itself, Del Monte Foods selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise to deliver a cloud‑first, outsourced IT and finance solution, including a new SAP‑based platform and managed services.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise built and cut over a cloud‑based SAP environment on HPE Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud with HPE Helion Continuity and transitioned Finance & Administration to HPE’s outsourcing team — completing an effort normally sized for 18 months in just eight. The project delivered measurable results: business applications were reduced from ~400 to ~70, infrastructure availability exceeded 99.9%, backup/recovery and disaster‑recovery processes were strengthened, and the cutover caused zero disruption to customers — producing cost efficiencies and faster, more integrated business processes.
