A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Royal Philips, a diversified health and well-being company, sought to align its IT procurement approach with its core sustainability values. The company wanted to move from a linear business model to a circular economy mindset but lacked an investment strategy for acquiring, managing, and using IT assets that supported this goal. To address this challenge, Philips partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and leveraged its HPE Financial Services.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented a sustainable IT Asset Management strategy for Philips. This solution enabled the remarketing of 91% of retired IT assets, allowing them to return value and support the circular economy. For the remaining assets, HPE Financial Services ensured responsible, compliant recycling. Over five years, HPE managed more than 82,000 assets across 24 countries, providing Philips with the expertise to maintain its leadership in sustainability.
