HAVL builds best-of-breed managed cloud solution

HAVL, a Dutch office and IT solutions provider, needed to meet growing customer demand for cloud services and secure a future business strand. With a long reseller relationship with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HAVL selected the HPE ConvergedSystem 700x and HPE CloudSystem software to launch managed cloud offerings for small and large customers.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented a converged platform (HPE ConvergedSystem 700x with ProLiant blades, HPE 3PAR StoreServ, FlexFabric and HPE Intelligent Management Center) plus HPE Proactive Care Service, Hyper-V virtualization and Citrix access. The solution enabled HAVL to provision servers in minutes instead of weeks, restore backups in 15 minutes, reduce costs through thin provisioning and tiered storage, and scale rapidly (20 VMs now and expanding to 50), with an initial contract already covering half the investment.
