Financial Systems Leader Deploys Rapid Automation for Test Execution

Automated Financial Systems (AFS), a leader in lending and treasury management with more than 300 active installations at top U.S. banks, faced a major challenge: 40 years of largely manual, highly complex testing that slowed code acceptance, increased risk and delayed revenue. To automate testing across the application lifecycle and speed market acceptance, AFS turned to Hewlett Packard Enterprise and deployed HP LoadRunner, HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT) and HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

Hewlett Packard Enterprise helped AFS adopt a framework-based, application-independent testing approach that produces reusable, repeatable and maintainable automated tests with automated workflows and reporting; AFS implemented the solution with VAR support from CDW. The outcome was improved code quality, faster time-to-market and revenue realization, earlier defect discovery and remediation, reduced reliance on manual and customer testing, and a projected 50% reduction in testing costs while preserving customer relationships and reputation.
