A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Everex Comunicaciones, a Madrid-based multinational telecommunications and managed‑services provider, was struggling with exponential data growth and a legacy storage platform that lacked deduplication. Repeated copies of the same data created huge databases, performance bottlenecks and threats to Everex’s SLAs for hosted and cloud services. After market review, Everex selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8200 storage (with HPE Proactive Care support) to address these issues.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise deployed two HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8200 systems (one flash/SSD, one spinning‑disk) with inline deduplication, flash‑optimized architecture and cross‑site replication. The solution delivered millisecond response times, maximised usable capacity, improved replication efficiency and reduced operational costs — consolidating environments that were previously ten+ racks down to a single rack or less and cutting power/cooling needs by up to 90%, while strengthening Everex’s ability to meet customer SLAs.
