A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS), an IT services leader and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Premium Partner, was running an 18-year-old, costly voice and voicemail system separate from its data network. ECS needed a proven, scalable IP telephony and unified communications platform integrated with Microsoft Office to improve collaboration for a mobile field sales team and to reduce high monthly voice charges, so it selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Unified Communications solution for Microsoft Lync.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented an end-to-end solution based on HPE Converged Infrastructure—adding ProLiant DL380 servers, StoreVirtual storage, HPE 4120 IP phones, Networking 2910 PoE switches and HPE management and backup software—integrated with Microsoft Lync, Exchange and VMware. The HPE deployment converged voice and data onto a single network, cut communications costs by more than 50%, delivered ROI in under two years, and improved internal collaboration and customer responsiveness for ECS.
