Hewlett Packard Enterprise delivered an HPE Helion Eucalyptus‑powered hybrid cloud that lets researchers burst to public clouds, provides more memory per core at lower cost than many public providers, and avoids CPU oversubscription while offering 10‑Gb connectivity and no network egress fees. The Red Cloud deployment has grown for five years, enabled cost recovery and reduced capital and refresh spending by eliminating underused on‑premises hardware, supported HIPAA‑compliant workloads, and helped secure an NSF award for the Aristotle Cloud Federation—demonstrating measurable savings and a scalable model for academic research.
