Case Study: China Merchants Bank achieves streamlined, automated IT operations and reduced costs with Hewlett Packard Enterprise

A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study

Preview of the China Merchants Bank Case Study

China Merchants Bank streamlines IT management

China Merchants Bank, one of China’s leading commercial banks, faced complex, fragmented IT operations across its Shanghai and Shenzhen data centers and needed to standardize IT Service Management (ITSM) using ITIL. To address this, the bank engaged Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HPE Software Professional Services, deploying HPE Service Manager, HPE Universal CMDB, HPE Server Automation, HPE Network Automation, HPE Operations Orchestration and HPE Cloud Service Automation.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise delivered ITIL-driven consulting and an automated IT operations platform that turned manual, fragmented procedures into electronic, repeatable workflows and metrics-driven processes. The deployment—expanded in multiple phases—standardized operations at headquarters and six branches, increased automation, improved system reliability and efficiency, reduced operational costs and sped up time to bring business systems online, and contributed to national data-center maturity standards developed with HPE.
