A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study
CF Industries, a global leader in nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing and distribution, faced fragmented change-control and SDLC processes—three separate change-control workflows and two SDLC tracks—that slowed incident resolution and complicated SOX and regulatory compliance. Hewlett Packard Enterprise deployed HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) as the centerpiece to consolidate change control and standardize the SDLC across the enterprise.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented HP ALM and integrated it with CF Industries’ LANDesk service desk via Microsoft BizTalk to automate incident creation, development, testing and closure, and also delivered an enterprise test automation framework (SAP and BI/BO), performance testing strategy, and monthly release cycle. The solution consolidated change control from three processes to one (and SDLC from two to one), cut incident turnaround from weeks to days, strengthened QA governance and compliance, and enabled organization-wide training and adoption.
