Case Study: CADFEM achieves a scalable, high-performance CAE simulation cloud with Hewlett Packard Enterprise

A Hewlett Packard Enterprise Case Study

CADFEM Engineering Simulation Cloud powered by Hewlett Packard Enterprise

CADFEM, a longtime ANSYS competence center and provider of CAE software, consulting and support, faced a constraint: its SaaS ANSYS licenses were limited by customers’ desktop hardware, preventing engineers from running large, scalable simulations. To deliver a reliable, high-performance, cloud-based CAE platform and meet demanding HPC requirements, CADFEM partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise to evolve its offering into a full CAE Platform‑as‑a‑Service.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise powered the CADFEM Engineering Simulation Cloud with HPE ProLiant Gen8 servers and HPE Converged Infrastructure, delivering rapid single‑click provisioning, secure per‑user VMs, tuned resources for interactive 3D and batch solves, and scalable capacity for large ANSYS workloads. The HPE‑based solution let CADFEM expand from selling licenses to providing end‑to‑end CAE infrastructure accessible anywhere, increased engineer productivity (faster batch processing and interactive post‑processing), and helped CADFEM grow its business by offering pay‑as‑you‑go HPC services.
