Ballarat Clarendon College Triples Storage Performance

Ballarat Clarendon College, a K–12 school in Ballarat, needed to replace an ageing HPE P6350 EVA storage array and expand capacity to support students, staff and parents using Microsoft SharePoint and virtualised services. They chose Hewlett Packard Enterprise and the HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7200 platform (with HPE 3PAR Optimization and Replication suites) to solve performance, scalability and high‑availability challenges.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise deployed two redundant HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7200 arrays (one production, one disaster‑recovery) with Remote Copy and Optimization Suite, supported by HPE Technology Services and partners; migration was completed with just two minutes of downtime. The HPE solution tripled storage performance, significantly reduced latency for up to ~5,000 concurrent users, provided real‑time replication and detailed monitoring, and delivered scalable capacity and a clear path to private cloud — markedly improving classroom responsiveness and system resilience.
