Acxiom Boosts Application Security with HPE Fortify SCA

Acxiom, a leading data technology company, needed to further strengthen its comprehensive security program to protect consumer information by adding static analysis of source code for key applications. To meet this challenge, Acxiom partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and adopted HP Fortify Static Code Analyzer (SCA) and HP Software Security Center (SSC) to extend its security controls across legacy and modern codebases.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise implemented Fortify SCA and SSC and integrated automated scans into Acxiom’s Continuously Integrated Build Process (CIBP), giving developers scan results within 10–20 minutes and embedding security into the SDLC. The solution reduced application vulnerabilities, improved developer secure-coding practices, covered more than 50 applications across multiple languages, and cut remediation costs by finding issues early—delivering measurable risk reduction, greater efficiency versus manual review, and ongoing protection through regular Fortify rule updates.
